Hulya Demir, ND, MA, LSC; CoOwner
Hulya Demir has been in the skin care industry for over 26 years. When she battled with cystic acne in her youth years, she had a sparked interest in skin care. She started her skin care education at the cosmetic dermatology school of Ankara, Turkey. Seeking more opportunity, she migrated to the United States to continue her education. She quickly completed an education at the Maryland Beauty Academy and become a senior cosmetologist. She furthered her education and graduated from the Johns Hopkins University as a Medical Coder in 2004.
She became a certified Ohashiatsu Instructor at the Ohashi Institute in 2012 at Bali Indonesia. The next year she was eager to keep going and completed certification for the Fundamentals of Aesthetic Lasers. Her goal is to help people improve their self-confidence and be happy looking at themselves. The quote Hulya performs by is “When you have a traumatic experience with your own life; you want to put your energy towards helping people never experience that.”
Her purpose from the start has further developed. During her time studying she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis. When going through the pain she realized she wanted to cure herself without using all the synthetic drugs out there. She started to further her education and research. She began attending and completing different certificate programs. In December 2016 she completed in a certificate in Immunotherapy of cancer Gastroenterology and another one in Diabetes at the Georgetown University Medical Center.
She went on to graduate from the International’s Institute of Origin Medicine, May 2018 with degree of PhD on Naturopathy. She then become board certified from the American Naturopathic Medical Association in August of 2019 and joined the association as a member. She has been practicing different holistic treatments for a while now. She has become one of the few certified BioResonance practitioners in Maryland. She finished her clinical training and become certified at Da Vinci College of Holistic Medicine. She received the Energy Medicine & Bioresonance Diploma.
During her years of self-improvement, she decided to get her certification to be a yoga teacher at yoga works in 2020. Recently she has been only teaching vinyasa yoga to her friends, family, and neighborhood kids in her spare time! She is happily married with three daughters and a son residing in Highland Maryland. Hulya feels amazing to be in s service that is focused on helping people with a holistic and natural approach. Having the chance to impact so many lives is a very self-rewarding experience for Hulya.
Dr. Sunil Patel, MD; Medical Director/CoOwner
Dr. Sunil Patel is a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist, who is also a member of the American Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Patel was born in India and immigrated to the United States with his parents at the age of 5. He obtained his undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He went on to do research for the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry before attending and graduating from Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse to obtain his specialty training in Anesthesiology.
Dr. Sunil Patel has lived in Maryland since finishing his residency training in 2006. He actively practices anesthesiology at Anne Arundel Medical Center and aesthetics at NuVo. Dr. Patel has drawn an affinity towards Aesthetics and has been practicing aesthetics, since 2015. His blend of medical knowledge and current modern aesthetic techniques has given rise to NuVo Aesthetic and Wellness. He has a great passion towards aesthetics and making you look and feel amazing.
Megan Corey, Certified Health Coach
Megan Corey is a Health Coach & Wellness Expert helping busy professionals lose weight and increase their energy through sustainable nutrition and lifestyle changes. Megan believes that food and lifestyle changes can have dramatic effects on your mind and body allowing you to have the energy and motivation to conquer the world. Megan’s Integrative Health Coach Certification has armed her with the knowledge she needs to help someone overcome difficult lifestyle changes through mind shift changes as it relates to nutrition and wellness. As she continues to improve upon her health and her family’s, which we all know is a constant battle between work, lack of time, and with the plethora of fast food options, she has created easier options and programs for professionals to use in their journey to be Healthy Like a Boss.
Jinney Yoon, Acupunturist
I grew up in Korea where i witnessed and experienced amazing benefits from acupuncture and herbs. I graduated from Maryland university of integrative health in 2006 and have seen miracles while practicing for 12 years for people with various symptoms and pains. But the most fascinating thing about acupuncture is to prevent problems and maintaining health. It helps feel balanced by facilitating the flow of ‘chi’ and move stagnation and toxin.
Dijle Koont, Reiki/EFT/Hypnosis
My Name is Dijle Koont, I am Certified Reiki Practitioner and Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. I specialized on Stop Smoking, Past Life Regression, Body Syndromes and Body Language, EFT, Weight Management, Increase Sport Performance, Immune disorders, and Handwriting Analysis.
I also provide seminars about EFT, Theory of Mind, Body Syndromes and Body Language I obtained 2 Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degrees, one of them is from Isik University and the other one is from University of Sedona, Arizona. I became fascinated with learning what our body can create and behave I realized that the body, the mind, and heart of each person is unique and whole.
Sara Barreto, Head Nurse
Sara Barreto is a Registered Nurse and has been working with NuVo for the past seven years providing care in laser hair removal services, laser facial services, laser lipo, and Micro Botox. She is a dedicated aesthetic nurse experienced and well versed in wellness and cosmetics. She has been thoroughly trained with a variety of laser equipment and technology. Sara also has certifications in basic life support, cynosure Elite+, and Potenza RF Micro needling. Sara is a passionate and dedicated employee that always provides clients with the best care possible.
Stefanie Glenn, DNP, ANP-BC, ACNP-BC, FAANP
Dr. Stefanie Glenn is a dually certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Adult Primary Care and Adult Acute Care. Dr. Glenn completed her first undergraduate degree at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA majoring in Health Communication with a minor in Psychology. She then earned her Associates Degree of Nursing from Howard Community College, Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Masters of Science and Post-Masters at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Additionally, she earned a Post-Master’s Certificate from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Public Health Leadership and her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Wilmington, DE in 2018. In March of 2020, she was selected to be a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP). Dr. Glenn has been a hospitalist NP since 2003 and continues to work in this specialty at Howard County General Hospital one weekend a month. Approximately 2 years ago she became interested in utilizing botulinum toxin for pain relief. The first class Dr. Glenn took introduced her to the aesthetic use of botulinum toxin. Since then, and she has really enjoyed treating patients in this capacity. Dr. Glenn is also trained in cosmetic fillers, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) application, and will be trained to provide hormone pellet therapy by the end of the year. Dr. Glenn joined the practice in January 2020 and looks forward to helping patients feel like the best version of themselves via the treatments she offers in collaboration with the team of experts NuVo Aesthetic and Wellness.

Acupuncture, originating in China more than 5,000 years ago, is a natural medicine, non-drug therapy without side effects. It is one of the most popular skills in traditional Chinese medical science.
An acupuncturist inserts fine disposable needles into points on the surface of the body. It is believed to be a medical method that employs external treatment to cure internal disease. The functions of acupuncture are activating Qi flow and blood circulation and removing Qi stagnation and blood stasis, dredging the body’s channels and collaterals, Tonic organs, improving immunity and maintaining health. It is through channeling of Qi flow and the application of special methods that the disease is cured, and a balance of the body is achieved.
In addition to acupuncture, Herbs also constitute a kind of Chinese medicine. These herbs are made of natural plants and foods that have no side effects. Chinese medicine also uses Moxa, cupping, ear needles, scalp needles, blood pricking, and scrapping (GuaSha,) and electric needles. Jian Madesen is a licensed acupuncture is tend professional masseuse in USA, who is also an M.D of gynecology and obstetrics and worked in hospitals in China for 15 years. In addition, she is also a member of Spinal Health Professional Committee of world Federation of Chinese Medicine societies (WFCMS). She studied western medicine at university in China for 6 years. Then she studied medical massage therapy 2 years and got an associate degree, and a Master’s degree of acupuncture after 3 years’ study in colleges in USA. Currently she is pursuing a PhD of Chinese medicine a university in the USA.
In recent years, she has followed the well-known Dean of New York Natural Acupuncture Center, the head of New York Base for Inheriting of World Federation of Acupuncture – Moxibustion Societies (WFAS), the vice chairman of External Therapy Technology Professional Committee of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS), professor of New York College of Health Professions and the deputy chief physician of the former Beijing Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and the inventor of motion acupuncture therapy – Professor Decheng Chen. She has learned a kind of a rapid, most scientific method-motion acupuncture for the treatment of muscle pain, soreness and tension caused by soft tissue strain. Guided by Dr.Chen, Currently in MD，VA， PA and Washington DC, Jian is the only acupuncturist know to applies motion acupuncture to cure for the patients and has won very favorable feedback.
